Columnist Doug Patton compares the Administration’s homeland security acts with a family whose neighbors have been murdered and their house burned to the ground, but continue to leave their doors unlocked and wide open. By the way, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the day after the Times Square event, offered his “25¢ guess” the attacker was “home grown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda [who] doesn’t like the healthcare bill or something”… FYI, the would-be NYC bomber was a foreign student from Tell Barry, Harry and Nancy not to pop the bubbly just yet. The courts are getting jammed with lawsuits against ObamaCare from States, doctors and others. One was filed in April representing about 5,000 doctors (Association of American Physicians and Surgeons), calling the bill unconstitutional on several grounds. Its executive director, Dr. Jane Orient, described AAPS’s suit: "It's an issue of freedom, it's an issue of saving the country from bankruptcy, it's an issue of access to medical care … all of these things," adding, "This bill is a monstrous threat to Americans; and the more they find out about it, the more they dislike it [and] the more they fear it.” Amen to that!... Calling ObamaCare a “power grab,” Black columnist Deroy Murdock said it “resembled an overweight airplane lumbering down the tarmac, poised to crash and burn soon after takeoff. ObamaCare’s excess cargo of broken promises threatens such a catastrophe”… Columnist Doug Gamble suggests that while Reagan is remembered for, “Tear down this wall,” Obama may be remembered for “Tear down this country”… This 4th of July, in the words of Dwight David Eisenhower, "[L]et us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us re-consecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain”… Thomas Jefferson said, "I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." Berwick is an Obama leftist clone who has spoken out on the oft-denied (by BHO) rationing of care. With “hoop-de-do” it announced recently it had repaid $6.7 billion, proof it is becoming sound fiscally. Not exactly. It is now learned GM used TARP funds from an escrow account to repay the Treasury. In short, its loan (our money) was repaid with our money. Asked if he was calling for the redistribution of wealth across society, he responded: "Absolutely. Without any hesitation. That's what the gospel is all about.” What gospel is that?
