Are Jews Communists?

Dear Mr. K. E. K      :

Forgive me, dear brother, but I am getting awfully tired of the Jew-hate literature that you keep sending me. Please do not send me any more. If you want to hate the Jews and fight them and try to oppose them, then I suppose that is your right. But I am going to love them and try to help them to come to know Jesus Christ as personal Savior.

I think the book you sent me, Behind Communism, is a joke (or would be, if it were not so tragic). Why doesn’t the same author write another book and this time just list all the Gentiles who are Communists? Of course some Communists are Jews. And some Gentiles are Communists, too. But that does not make all Jews Communists any more than it would make all Gentiles Communists.

And the book starts with a basic flaw, pointing out that Karl Marx was Jewish. What it doesn’t say is that Marx was one of the biggest Jew-haters ever to come down the pike. He said England was “full of Jews and fleas.” He described the Jews of Poland as “the smeariest of all racists.” He described the German socialist Ferdinand Lassalle as a “Jewish nigger.” And I suggest you read his book A World Without Jews, filled with his anti-Semitism.

You did not document your charges about Martin Luther and Benjamin Franklin; you only sent me more quotes from more anti-Jew literature. Instead of telling me to read all the published works of Martin Luther and try to find where he said what you say he said, why not tell me the book and the page number where he said it?

The reason you don’t is that you cannot.

As for Benjamin Franklin, what you say he said has been discredited time and time again. In the first place, Mr. Pickney’s diary never made any such statement. Do you know where the claim originated? It has been traced to part of an anti-Semitic speech by a German broadcaster on July 16, 1934. Seven Franklin scholars of the International Ben Franklin Society have published a pamphlet branding the story as a vicious lie, completely opposite to Franklin’s thinking. But the Jew-haters still continue to spread it around like it were gospel truth.

I feel sorry for you that you are being a party to the promotion of such a vicious lie. If you question what I say, I suggest you write the librarian of the Franklin Institute.
