Dr. Robert Sumner passed away in December 2016. The Biblical Evangelist newspaper is no longer being published and the ministry of Biblical Evangelism has ceased operation.

Dr. Edward Reese, age 87, went to his heavenly home on July 4, 2015 with his family ever at his side. Born May 7, 1928, and born again on March 31, 1941, Edward was a consummate husband, father, minister, musician, missionary, and friend. He graduated Union High School in 1946, attended Moody Bible Institute from 1946- 1950, and then became ordained October 8, 1950. During his time at Moody, he directed Senn High School Hi C Bible Club, was the guard on the championship basketball team, acted as sports editor of The Moody Student, and began work on his two life-time publications, The Reese Chronological Bible and a comprehensive all-inclusive Reese Chronological Encyclopedia of Christian Biographies. He incorporated his accordion and song-leading with his ministry so well. After graduation, he organized city-wide high school Bible Clubs with Youth for Christ, traveled to Japan and was directly involved with 453 meetings there, resulting in over 19,600 souls deciding to follow Jesus. He married his helpmate and love of his life, Margaret Babcock, in November, 1953, and began a long list of accomplishments, both professional and personal. He pastored churches and preached in too many states to mention, as well as abroad. He finished up his career as a professor at Crown College here in Tennessee, where he was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church in Powell. Outside of his work, Edward was a disciplined, self-driven, creative and devoted Christian who also enjoyed sports and time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Reese, and brother, Melvin Reese. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Margaret Reese; sons, Wesley Scott Reese and wife Lisa, Lane Edward Reese and wife Marlina, Phillip Kent Reese and wife Sharon; daughters, Rebecca Lynn Porter and husband Tom, Donna Jean Twilla and husband, Jeff; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and other extended family he cherished. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/knoxnews/obituary.aspx?pid=175241652#sthash.EyLXOszn.dpuf
